The Conservative Party of Québec will immediately reduce the price of gas, as in Ontario

For immediate release

QUEBEC – A government of the Conservative Party of Québec will immediately reduce the price of gas by about 5 cents per liter, says its leader Adrien Pouliot.

The conservative leader said in a new video that was published on the party’s social media platforms that “Quebecers are among the North-Americans who pay the most for a liter of gas”.

If in office, Mr. Pouliot would take action to reduce the price of gas, unlike Philippe Couillard and François Legault who said they were powerless. He would abolish the Quebec carbon tax as well as the Green Fund. For him, this fund is “a big cookie jar that ministers use to give unjustified subsidies”.

According to the conservative leader, the province needs to give back flexibility to families that have no choice but to own a car to get around.

« Let’s remember that the Quebec carbon tax, which raises the price of gas, unfairly punishes people who don’t have access to a proper transit system or who can’t afford an electric car”, concluded Mr. Pouliot.
